Red Hand Day Celebrations against the use of child soldiers

Red Hand day was celebrated in the target village Bada Tola, Gorakhpur, on 12th February, 2017.


Resource persons Mrs Flora and Mr. Pawan addressed the gathering and gave inspiring thoughts on the occasion regarding the significance of the celebration. Public meeting and awareness rally were also conducted in the village to generate awareness in the community about the campaign to stop the use of child soldiers. 275 children and 10 volunteers from the focus area participated for the celebration of the day. The Resource persons explained about the importance of Red Hand Day on the following themes:

·         Concept of Child Soldiers

·         Status of Child Soldiers in different countries


·         Preventions to stop Child Soldiers in Institutional, Social and family level
