Red Hand Day - Weltweite Aktivitäten

Take action against the use of child soldiers!

Make passing effective legislation a priority.

Outlaw this disgraceful practice.

We got hundreds of students to draw around their hands like this in protest.

We made people aware of the plight of child soldiers.

We set up a stall in our common room with information on the plight of child soldiers and details of UN legislation surrounding the issue as well as the human rights abuses associated with their use. We then encouraged people to draw around their hand in red ink as a sign of protest against practices of using child soldiers. We then photographed these hands. Aside from this protest we also gave assemblies on Child Soldiers and have a notice board in our schools entrance hall.
