214 Red Hands In Middle School 302 AGAINST USE OF CHILDREN IN WARS

Innocent Hearts International in MS 302 Bronx New York

Bericht

On February 6th We held another Red Hand Day Event. This time in Middle School 302-Luisa Dessus Cruz in Bronx, New York. It was most wonderful and thrilling experience. Auditorium was packed with over 200 amazing young people. No one would believe that they were all only six grade! You could hear a pin drop while they listen our Co- founder Tatiana speaks about children soldiers and Red Hand campaign. Our Youth leaders Alexandra, Lily, Declan and Bruce helped students to create 60 feet long banner with handprints, signatures and messages for the United Nations officials. Principal Angel Rodriguez joined them and placed his hand print on the banner followed with a great cheer of the crowd. Most of the faculty and the staff also participated in the event. Energy and enthusiasm in that room was overwhelming. Majority of the children went home with the paint on their hands, proud of what they have done and eager to share the experience with their parents and friends.
