Red Hand Day was a major success at school, everyone liked it and it was great for raising awareness.

I set up a table at my school during the lunch periods and got as many people passing by to give their hand prints as I could and explained to them about why child soldiers are such a big problem.

By 2012 we want all countries to have signed AND ratified the Optional Protocol banning the use of Child Soldiers!

Between 7th and 15th February 2011 I collected photographs of Birmingham students holding a giant red hand I had made. I then printed off the 238 pictures and made them into a collage to send to the UN
